A bit late I know but life is just hectic!!! We enjoyed our New years celebrations, although they were a bit quieter than previous years. We were happy to have friends up from Sydney and after helping out at the school fundraising BBQ, we headed back home to watch the fireworks from our balcony. It was lovely. Work has been full on and I will not be too upset to see the end of January and the tourists, but I don't really mind them too much, seeing as I used to be one of them!!! David decided to rip his foot open on a rusty bolt and after a 9 hour wait he was given 8 stitches (should have been 10 in my opinion), he got quite sick as it got infected, I borrowed some antibiotics from my friend as everything was closed and was lucky enough to stop the infection and avoid another 9 hour wait in emergency! He is healing now but the stitches have to stay in for another week as there is a gap.....
Today is a rare day off, except for cleaning the public toilets, so I think we will have to go into Taree and start shopping for Madi's 14th Birthday. She wants a maxi dress, jewellery and itunes gift vouchers. Just a low key party this year, 4 friends and a day at the beach, dinner in Forster at the Reef bar and Grill or Hogsbreath.
I have also started digital scrapping again, great subjects, my brother and sister in law brought the kids down for a very short stay. they didn't have much time off work and I appreciate that they came at all considering the 10 hour drive with 3 kids under 9yo! but I loved seeing them again.
Well off to do those loo's.........
