well I'm as good as keeping a blog as a diary!! hopless. Life is hurtling along and I can't believe it is only 3 days until the big man comes, I don't think I'm ready, can someone put the brakes on!!! Going backwards, yesterday was fun day at nippers with Santa arriving in a rowing boat and the kids getting lollies and a sausage sandwich, it was also madi's first beach patrol day, how gorgeous and grown up did she look in her red and yellows!!!then it was drinks on the balcony....heaven. Both kids did exceptionally well at school this year with Madi getting 95% in her end of year maths, getting 2 awards at presentation day for maths and making all the top classes for next year, david got 99% in his maths exam and recieved the class award for most consistent worker in year 4....not bad for their first year in new schools. Yay we didn't ruin them!!!! Work is full on, frantic, outta control but that better than sitting around!
Have a Merry Christmas everyone, and bring on a safe and happy 2010!!!!

A New Month
Well October just flew by......Now we are already a week into November and life hasn't settled down too much! Who would have thought we would get so much work being new to town! Speaking of work, Daz has taken a job in Taree, bookkeeping 2 days a week an I start at the bakery this Wednesday, so January is going to be hectic!!! It been raining heaps these last couple of days and since that means cricket is off I have instructed everyone to sleep in, wish I could!! up before 7am again....which is fine but doesn't everyone want to just snuggle under the doona on a morning like this???
Apparently Nippers goes ahead, so it's a 6am start in the morning for set up and hopefully David's Rep soccer trials will be rained out so he can compete. He loves his nippers and is very good at it. Madi will do water safety. This Surf Rescue Certificate she has been training for has been the best thing! It has given her confidence in the water, confidence in herself and her fitness levels have skyrocketed. Plus they have been a great bunch of adults and kids and it has been so much fun.
David is just thriving, so many friends, so many things to do, he is learning guitar and loves going boogie boarding, his mate Chase and his dad Todd (a seasoned surfer) came and picked him up for a surf the other afternoon....I was a bit worried, I'm usually there if he goes in the water....but how gorgeous was he when he came home? wetsuit pulled down to his waist, long hair dripping wet and a smile on his face that lit up the room and his comment? "That was totally wicked man"...lol....he's just 10yo.
I've got to get some scrapping done so I'm not behind again this month, I just can't get all the photo discs I made in XP to work on Vista....pain!!! here is a layout I did for this months font challenge at Nuts4Digi.......

October 21st 2009
The whales are here!!! They have been entertaining us for days now, splashing around and leaping right out of the water as they swim north to breed. Sitting down at nippers on Sunday there were at least 4 of them putting on a show. Madi wanted to hire a boat and go play with them, ummm I think not! although a fishing boat was coming in and a whale breached, it looked alarmingly close!!
Madi left at 11pm last night for school camp. They are off to Dubbo and surrounds, an overnight bus trip with 13/14yo's, I shudder to think!!!!! she was very excited though. She is doing her Surf Rescue Certificate at the moment and eventhough I had to drag her there kicking and screaming 3 weeks ago she is having a wonderful time and has gained so much confidence not only in the water but also in herself. She is such a natural at so many things but until she does them she doubts herself, such a waste but you can't live their life for them!
Daz is still working on his laps, how come he can always find the time??? He does 34 a day (it's a 33metre pool) and to do his bronze he needs to do 14 in 9 minutes, he is a sure and steady swimmer and has had to work hard but i think he may have just cracked it!!!

Friday 16th October
Well what a blur these holidays have been!!! We had Birthdays Galore with my Sister-In-Law turning 40yo on the October 11th then her son, my nephew, turned 2 on the 12th, my little man hit double figures turning 10 on the 13th...phew. We took the day off for Davids Birthday and took 10 of them to Big Buzz where they rode the water slides all day, having goes on the toboggin and carts, motorised quad bikes, golf and volleyball in between. I made a gridiron cake????yes he found One HD and is addicted to yet another sport....sigh.....otherwise it has been cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. I have worked 10 hours at the van park (over 3 days), cleaned 16 houses, stripped and remade 25 beds(hate top bunks and putting quilt covers on!!!!), my body is tired, my brain is tired, I need a lie down!!!! But it is my turn to host the speed scrap at Nuts4Digi http://nuts4digi.com tonight and I have been working on a couple of layouts which I will share tomorrow. We start chatting about 8pm, if I start talking jibberish I will ask the girl to tell me to go to bed!!!! I really have to thank some special friends, Kerri and Michael Elliott for taking the kids out on the boat and giving them a fun day when we were so busy, also for taking them to the movies, Sue Organ, who actually rang because she knew I would be busy and whom I really only know through soccer, she took David for a day and a half which kept him occupied and exhausted, he had fun playing at the beach, playing table tennis and going for his first round of golf, she was so laid back and generous about it , words can't express my gratitude. Megan Bailey and Rosemary Hudson for having Madi, amusing her and letting her sleepover. All in all I think the kids ended up having a great holiday, and I'm so happy about that. We are blessed with these people in our lives!!!

No rest for us, we are flat out cleaning. Thank God for diaries....mine is my brain at the moment and has never been so full!!!! today is our 1 day off and at midday I have just finished emailing, smsing, and quoting on linen and cleans. Now we have to find something to do with the kids, although we have to be at cricket training at 3.30pm and then Daz works from 5 until 8. So maybe a walk down to the beach although it's a bit chilly. madi is sulking because she wants to go shopping to buy lots of stuff for her, eventhough it's David's birthday next week!!!! Anyway off to have some lunch and enjoy the rest of the day....Iif I can fit it in!!!! LOL

Birthdays
Well another birthday has come and gone. 44, I can't believe it! Such a busy day too, so not much celebrating happened. I had 2 cleans to do, a quick bite of lunch, then off to train our brand new cricket side, a quick stop at home then off to touch footy for both kids. Then we rushed home because Madi had SRC theory (Surf Rescue Certificate). So it was 8.30 before I got to open my pressies (all picked by me but a surprise for the kids....lol) and not a photo to show for it! But I got some lovely sms and facebook messages and some flowers from my little brother, and the biggest surprise were the gifts I got from the girls at Nuts4Digi, I hope to creat a layout with them and post it soon. I will have plenty os opportunity to use them with my SIL's birthday on the 11th, my nephews birthday on the 12th and my son's birthday on the 13th......it that birthday time of year in this family.
